DRUM receives a contribution towards the salaries of our part time staff from Hertfordshire Adult Care Services however, our funding is the same as it was in 2006!  Despite this, and through sheer hard work, DRUM has managed to increase activities and services.

All other expenditure is funded by DRUM, through membership fees, donations, fundraising and small grant applications. DRUM has to raise at least £60,000 a year to continue services at the current level. This amount would be much higher if not for the amazing dedication of our team and the support of the local community.

All DRUM staff work many additional hours on a voluntary basis. Tutors are employed to lead the planned activity sessions but their tuition fees are reduced and they all work additional hours on a voluntary basis.  Volunteers are on hand to support staff and assist members during all the activities, recreational and social events at DRUM.
